Don´t want to talk about the quartz movements and regatta watches, all said by Mark on his site. But here is a nice and unusual one with a breath-taking provenance. This watch, a french friend called UFO was belonged to one of the best Skipper of the world, the danish national skipper hero Jesper Bank who won it at the Dragon European Championship in 1990.
Inside ticks a double quartz movement – BF 304 (not sure, need to be researched) and needs two batteries. One is for the regatta module (Memotime developed R833) and the other one for the time.
It´s a watch from the Memotime series called MemoSail Fun and – with funny colors Memosail Surf – and a special version for HobyCat.
