As known from the site about the Seaboard-Yacht series there is the Kelek with the labeled dial “Champ Europe 5.5 JI Neuchatel 1968”.

This one above was found in Switzerland.

Last week there was another one auctioned in UK and fortunately with a nice story behind, you can read here.

Update 12/2017 of finding another one – but thats not really good news…

“A 1960s Kelek ‘Champ Europe 5.5 JI Neuchatel 1968 gentleman’s yachting chronograph wristwatch, the circular ivory dial with silver baton hour markers, stick hands with red seconds hand, subsidiary seconds dial and blue and red sectional minute dial, all contained within a stainless steel antimagnetic incabloc case, to an expandable strap The 5.5 Metre World Championship are international sailing regattas in the 5.5 Metre class organized by the International Sailing Federation and the International 5.5 Metre Class Association. This watch was awarded to Robin Allingham Aisher OBE (born 24 January 1934) who won a bronze medal in the 5.5 Metre class at the 1968 Summer Olympics together with Adrian Jardine and Paul Anderson. He was appointed OBE in the 1986 Birthday Honours”

How interesting!

Update 12/2017

Interesting found is another Kelek with that print in an auction in Germany. Unfortunately the watch got a full repainted dial. To see the differences here is a comparision (look at the indeces, small register not centered printed with funny typo, different typo of Kelek and the Champ Europe print, different typo regatta register etc..) The sweep and regatta hand are wrong too. Would be interesting what happened to the watch before – maybe a water damage…?!
